Magic Weapons and Armour

As with tints, crafted magic items require more skill than non-magic. To craft a magic item, you need the corresponding magic raw material - eg to craft a shortsword+1 you need an ingot of attack+1. This is further illustrated in the following table:

Item Raw material
longsword + 1 ingot of attack + 1
staff + 2 log of attack + 2
chain coif + 1 ingot of defense + 1
copper heater + 3 copper ingot of defense + 3
blackrock full helm of strength + 15 blackrock ingot of strength + 15

Obtaining the Raw Materials - the Wand of Deconstruction

While non-magical logs and ore (ie they do not have a + on them) may be harvested in the wild, magic raw materials can only be retrieved from existing magic items by use of a Wand of Deconstruction.

Slaying weapons

The following table shows the premiums for magic weapons:

The following table shows the premiums for items that add a +defense:

+4 +40%

Eg: to craft a plain full helm requires 6% in armourer. To craft full helm + 3 requires 36% in armourer, and so on.

Eg: to craft a plain platemail requires 29% in armourer. To craft platemail of strength + 10 requires 79% in armourer, and so on.

Tinted Magic Items

Magic items that have a tint may be crafted too. The minimum skill is the minimum skill required to craft the plain item PLUS the requirement for the tint PLUS the requirement for the enchantment.

Item Minimum skill required Ingredients
platemail 29% 12 ingots
silver platemail 44% (+15%) 12 silver ingots
platemail of dexterity + 10 79% (+50%) 12 ingots of dexterity + 10
silver platemail of dexterity + 10 94% (+50% + 15%) 12 silver ingots of dexterity + 10

Supertints / Mythic Item Crafting

It's possible to add yet another extra tint layer to weapons and armor, to enhance it even further. It can be applied to both normal items and artifacts, regardless of existing enhancements, but requires top expertise in many skills, as well as rare materials.

These additional enhancements are called "mythic supertints", and the process to apply them to items is described in Mythic_Item_Crafting page.
