Server List
There are currently 2 versions of EUO running on 3 servers. The server versions are the stable build (currently version 1.008) and the development build (also known as Alpha). It should go without saying that the alpha version of EUO is very bleeding edge: it has more features but also more bugs.
You only need one account to play on all 3 servers.
Regular Server
The regular server is the default server: the one that brand new players will connect to. Features of the regular server:
- runs version 1.008 (stable)
- players gain experience and have levels
- stats are increased when levelling up
- players level up by meditating at a shrine: the stat distribution determined by the shrine meditated at
- 6 stat points per level
- 125% class cap

No Grind Server (alpha)
The No Grind (NG) server features a level-less style of character development, not unline Ultima Online. Features of the NG server include:
- runs Alpha build
- no experience or player levels
- 400% skills cap
- 400 cap on stats
- stats are worth 2x their face value (ie 150 STR is actually worth 300)
- no restrictions on mixing and matching skills (ie no class cap)
- fast skill gains

Permanent Death Server (alpha)
This must be spelled out: when you die on the Permanent Death server (PD) your character is deleted! Do not play PD unless this point is perfectly clear. You will die due to lag, your client will crash in the middle of a nest of ettins and you will stoned to death, you will be ganked with no resurrection stones, you will have other players lure crocodiles onto you that will hunt you down until you die, and you be killed by the DM when you've overstepped the line by asking for free stuff and not thanking him for it. There is absolutely NO warranty, and when you die, NO ONE will want to hear about it, especially Egg.
Having said that, some people think that the excitement of PD makes it the best EUO experience around. Features of the PD server:
- runs Alpha build
- players gain experience and have levels
- players don't need to meditate at shrines to level up
- 5 stat points per level
- fast skill gains
- different continent map with a subset of maps borrowed from the regular server
- permanent death (with 2 spare lives to start with)
