Scrolls can be bought from your nearest Scribe-merchant. To read a scroll in order to learn the spell, simply press 'shift-C', select the scroll and the spell will be learned. You can cast the scroll (but not learn it) but using it (with 'shift-R'), this way of casting has 100% success rate but can only be used once per scroll.

Spells have a difficulty rating and the player's success in casting depends on the spell difficulty (circle) and his magery skill. The mana used is directly proportinal to the spell level.

Scrolls can be bought from your nearest Scribe-merchant. To read a scroll in order to learn the spell, simply press 'shift-C', select the scroll and the spell will be learned. Once you've learned a spell, depending on the spell you the different acronym for it. For example, for the spell Vas Ort Grav, you'd type "cvog"(cast: vas ort grav). You can also cast the scroll instead of learning it by using the R command which is a way of casting that has 100% success rate but can only be used once per scroll.
