There are a several clans in EUO and all have various requirements. Being in a clan is purely optional. Currently, the only advantage to being affiliated with a clan is the clan chat feature (using "/c <text>") used for fun and easy talk between friends in your clan. Here's a list of the different clans and their specific forum threads:

Band of Brothers

Brotherhood of Night

The Knights of Tanelorne

WoWz

Izumi Adventurers Guild

Swashbuckling Pirates of Tanelorne

Old Clans with Threads

These clans have eitheir merged or disbanded.

Mystic Mages of New Sosaria

EUO Monster Squad

Mustard On Oninons

Order of Oblivion

Buck's Uncontrollable Ogre does not have a clan thread.
