25 Dec

  • 2023 Xmas present Scented Candle
  • fixed pet sigil dupe
  • added wheat beer to fergrues req. fixed crash when astral travelling with a pet

12 Dec

  • added server /time command
  • lumber now weighs 0.3, down from 1.0
  • guards now attack with magic axes (they do not drop magic axes), and no longer have magic. They now have 2k hp (was 500)

3 Oct

  • cursed socketing wand now removes the existing gem from the readied staff
  • gave Estorrath's armour set bonus a name
  • fixed the merch selling the smooth cut file not loading
  • fixed the shoppe race change models prices on heads

25 Sep

  • some tiny updates to fishing including fishing up REDACTED from REDACTED
  • fixed the npcs in the shoppe in the race change section having the wrong price (40) on them (should be 50)

15 Sep

  • can search for nightshade any midnight
  • lvl 15 treasure maps no longer drop from fishing
  • blessed lvl 15 treasure maps drop as loot, and contain much improved treasure (inc polished gem & 1/3 chance to get an artifact)
  • ettins less likely to spawn when digging up treasure

12 Sep

  • xen mani now just does 10-20 dmg vs vamps. vas xen mani does 5d5+level/2 (which is about 50% more than fg for the same mana cost) vs vamps
  • rabbit mount now req lvl 50, drake lvl 75
  • WoT & druid ench xfer spell no longer destroy a socketed gem

  • clones of plain polymorphed dragon (The khaki dragon) now come with the spells VF, INH and AQ (and NOT clone)

28 Aug

  • weaponsmith: changed the min skill spread to -5 to 40% for plain weapons. (Which becomes 10-55 for silver and 25-70 for blackrock, meaning you can get to 90 by making blackrock+0 machetes)
  • armourer: changed the min skill spread to 0 to 45% for plain armour. (Which becomes 15-60 for silver and 30-75 for blackrock, meaning you can get to 95 by making blackrock+0 field plate)
  • tailoring: belt now min skill 25. spiked collar 50. All other plain leather items now min skill increased to between 27 and 45
  • studded/steel skill requirement is now +20 (was +30) (ie if plain thing req 10 skill, studded or steel variant req 30 skill)
  • alchemist can now make darkhide leather at min skill 70 (req br ore + leather)
  • alchemsti can now make goldhide and silverhide leathers at min skill 35 & 40. (Don't ask where you get gold ore from)
  • treated blackrock ore now only req 1 of each blackrock, drag scales, mandrake, nightshade
  • nightshade req for the venom mats in alchemy down to 2, was 4
  • 1500 fancy map rule tweak: it still requres apoc dungeon or heroic or epic, but scrapped the blacklist 'too easy maps' (such as cassandras) - so (forexample) the mino chief in epic cassandras, if a boss, actually has a chance to drop a crystal map (because he would have 1500hp)
  • increased wurm hp to 750 (and increased xp) so bosses have a chance to drop a rad map
  • decreased rarity of gems in buried treasure

21 Aug

  • mobs with a family spawn weight of 0 will never create a phase beast
  • tweaks to mob fams. Water demon moved to oddballs with a spawnweight
  • phase anomalies from scripted spawners have more logical enemies (eg a apoc reaper phase will be filled with levelled apoc reapers)
  • fixed a spawner in NiZweiDeux that could spawn a phase beast that spawned a phase anomaly full of good npcs
  • standardised bosses in DejaVu to use standard boss scaling. boss fountains etc have correct 'elder fountain' name, etc
  • fixed bosses in 'the labyrinth'
  • fixed "corrupted" etc bosses in Matriarchs domain: where they weren't levelled like bosses. Also names were showing where they weren't bosses.
  • no more hybrid trolls (etc) in tols or maps with fancy custom spawners. hopefully fixed some large bosses not spawning when they should have
  • fix network crash from recent deconstruct refactor
  • opening a chest will reveal an invisible player (not a stealthed/hidden player)
  • rad cooks & fancy treasure maps only drop if the boss has over 1500 hp
  • boss names now revealed only when a player does damage to them
  • QAW duration vs mobs now random 4 to 6 sec, was fixed 5 sec if caster int wasn't mr breaking or permanent if mr breaking
  • added wings to the cash shoppe
  • fixed typo in buffs

14 Aug

  • treasure map caves unload a bit more aggressively once the chest has been opened and the players left the cave
  • jacked up the prices of all items bought with rad cookies by a factor of 5x
  • removed the t2 glass coin armour for sale. t1 glass coin armour is now 3 glass coins per piece (was 6-9 pieces). Added a npc that can upgrade your t1 glass coin armour into t2 (the sets removed from sale) for just 3 crystal coins per piece
  • high scavenger hunt now requires you to bring a bunch of +ingots, logs etc: the deconstructed equivalent of what he (the chicken npc) used to require
  • fixed bug with merchant loading that added an empty merch to 0,0,0 (did anyone even notice?)
  • quest givers with repeatable quests (eg smelly, aarin) have their ! go away when the daily is completed
  • fixed bulk orders NPC not having the !

10 Aug Maped 117

  • when painting a void/darkness type tile, the decorating letter is painted immediately as well
  • last selected feature, terrain and spanwer now remembered when switching palettes
  • status line now updates when click palette

7 Aug Moa 1.3.46

  • fix Sagitarius exploding lettuce not giving kill credit in the instance (to be revisited)
  • invis teleporters on stairs no longer make the teleport sound
  • client can use #set command to set client.cfg variables (results may vary but works for block_dm=1)
  • holding alt only shows items that can (generally speaking) picked up.
  • added alignment to o pkt (fixes the blue mobs walking in off screen)

27 July

  • added mapset counts to armoury
  • saggitarius is now counted as a vanilla instance (so should be clearable)

24 July, Moa 1.3.45

Client:

  • added purple xp bar
  • added visble ctrl alt dir key shortcut reminders to the statbox when selecting a spell or ability
  • fixed error in the dps calc (was counting one too many hits)
  • auxbox now supports 6 char colour codes eg {ff00ff}

Necros:

  • hexblades can use wallop. hexblade wallop incflicts disease for 6 sec
  • healing bolt now heals 20% of yr max hp per bounce (so up to 60% max hp)
  • slowed down the anims for hail of bones, blood & glass
  • network tweaks to help with HOB lag
  • HOB cd up to 10 sec, but dmg up 10%

VYR / socketing:

  • added onyx and polished onyx to socket list. When casting VYR with a onyx socketed staff you transform into a black dragon. A plain onyx gives +25% resistance to vamp attacks, and a polished onyx improves the health gained from vampyric attacks by 50%
  • added emerald and polished emerald. VYR with an emerald socketed staff turns you into a green dragon. Plain emerald makes you hex proof, while an improved emerald doubles the initial damage inflcied by your INH spray

Tweaks/fixes/etc:

  • changed berserker stance to work with 1h fighter/priest weapons too (ie it buffs attack speed for 1h weapons too)
  • made the balron at the end of Ruined Base named & ear giving
  • fixed newbie island npc saying N for meditate
  • added alt f5 refresh auxbox to help file
  • updated 'attack/nothing there' messages to be a combat message (ie mutable)
  • polished gems now drop everywhere, not just weekly. more gems in buried treasure
  • conistent caps in buffs.txt

16 June

  • swapped beastmastery spells tank & buff circles (tank now 5, buff now 6) to make it a bit easier to level the beastmastery skill
  • can't use pet wands on untamed or pets that aren't yours
  • disabled cash for damage indefinitely
  • grapple yank now makes visible

31 Mar Moa 1.3.44

  • beastmaster skill
  • socketed staffs and improved VYR (starting with blue, white and red gems)

misc new

  • added blood and xtal treasure maps that drop in some heroic & epic dungons across new sosaria and maeondir
  • added small barrel to woodcrafting
  • added wheat beer. it heals a dwarf like a greater yellow pot.
  • added flour mill (to make flour from wheat)
  • use hoe on your plant/crop to destroy it
  • use grappling hook in a direction to cast it at a mob up to 3 sq away and pull it towards you
  • added text for Emerging Underworld (by chatgpt but parts rewritten by me)
  • vamps can drink from a blood fountain for a +50hp buff
  • estorrath's set now gives +10% magic dmg buff
  • keeping a water demon as a stock animal (not a pet) will automatically water all the plants in your house on that map level twice a day (at 555am, which is 5 mins before the plant stage / watered check and 5 mins after sunrise, so the plants always look like they are watered)
  • added mill and press tiles

client

  • command hotbar (turn it on in options, bind commands to it with right click, then you can click the * buttons to activate the commands. This might not seem useful except it helps when using a controller)
  • client can now use up+left arrow keys to move northwest, etc (good for controller support)
  • press tab to cycle thru the four use menus eat,drink,use & read (helps with controller)
  • added use mode text str (eg eat, drink, ready, etc) to top right of inventory menu
  • added teleport sound
  • added drink potion sound
  • added glowing ember to the reagents etc when filtering inv
  • added arrow dmg bonuses to the damage breakdown string in statbox and when readying
  • no longer switch targets with ctrl left/right (because ctrl left right also attacks - can't have both)

changes/tweaks

  • Flamberge procs IFH now, instead of VF
  • monsters that heal themselves heal for more.
  • mobs that cast lvl based dmg spells (like FG) now correctly work out the dmg based on the avg of their stats
  • split slimes get 1/2 parent hp (inc apoc slimes).
  • removed tool breakage from tools used in crafting. deleted BR blueprints for the 4 tools that were used in crafting
  • bucket can no longer break
  • mill & olive press can be activated on ground to use (so you don't have to carry them) (or they can be picked up and repeat used)
  • added plant growth details when look at your plant
  • setting guard mode on your pet now reports current leash length
  • changed recipe for barrel tile scroll to require 1 ingot instead of nails
  • bonecrafters make bone arrows. This also fixes deconstructing wooden arrows into bones
  • added weapon desc to when attacking "nothing there" message
  • renamed albino gazer to just gazer
  • blood and shadow warriors have weapons now.
  • removed adamantium trans app from crafting list (there has been no blueprint for a while)

fixes

  • fixed teleporters/stairs in Dead Forest
  • fixed chests in road warrior town
  • fixed spraynpray not showing all the arrows
  • fixed entangle tmp_code not resetting for entangled player
  • fixed ancient bug with crops where they might not ever have gotten past seed stage
  • fixed cure poison not updating health bar for other targets
  • fixed rmb no longer activating a npc to talk to
  • fixed diamond coin is no longer a scavenger hunt item
  • fixed santa's other ring buggering up summon slot usage
  • fixed / preventing druid enchant swap spell DRO from working on artifacts
