On NG, stats are increased through skill usage. Here is the breakdown of which skills improve which stats. There are also some useful slash commands to limit your stats to assist in shaping them.

Skills that increase strength:

  • longswords
  • polearms
  • maces
  • blessed maces
  • weaponsmith
  • armorer
  • unarmed
  • axes
  • mining
  • chopping trees (WoodCrafting)
  • staves
  • block

Skills that increase dexterity:

  • woodcrafting (but not chopping)
  • locks
  • ranged
  • stealth
  • traps
  • shortswords
  • foils
  • tinkering
  • tailoring
  • healing
  • bonecrafting
  • cooking

Skills that increase intelligence:

  • magery
  • sorcery
  • piety
  • divinity
  • sanctity
