Design & Programming

Max Breedon (eggmceye)

Special thanks to Odin Jensen for the new patcher, as well as his infinite well of pro-tips on C++, and his fastmap template.

Graphics

Many of the land, building, monster and player tiles were created by Joshua Steele and are used with permission. They're from old and new versions of his replacement tileset for U4. Many thanks to Joshua.

Extell is now EUO's official tiler, and his contribution has already been outstanding. As of 1.007, his original tiles include: werewolves, goblins, the demi lich, golems, imps, and over a dozen new player avatars. His improved U5 tiles include orcs, trolls + many variants.

Other Graphics Contributions

  • Lurid: minotaurs
  • Morthwyl: about a dozen player avatars
  • Dolus: more player avatars
  • Sharingan & Sakura: monsters and player avatars

Many of the items tiles are made my me (egg). There are also many tiles based on the original U4 & U5, both PC and C64 versions, and modified to taste.

Also worth noting is that EUO uses the Allegro graphics library.

Maps

Many players past and present have contributed maps to EUO. The complete map credits can be found here on the forums. Catherine is the official EUO map editor in chief, and with out her efforts, EUO would be simply just an engine.

Quests

Max Breedon, Rob Stewart, Patrick Kyba.

Sound

Mostly borrowed from various games, some original sounds by egg.

Documentation

Egg mostly. Pat Kyba has helped with the (as yet unreleased) DM manual, Catherine has a Guide to Maped, and the Netiquette Guide was written Phil H (Kodiak).

Installation

Thanks to Tarun for recommending Innosetup and getting the ball rolling. Thanks to DjLizard for making & maintaining the current installer.

Finally

Thanks to anyone who plays, reports bugs, suggests ideas, emails or icqs me. It all helps!

Finally, credit must go to Richard Garriot & Origin of course for the inspiration for the game!
