 Part brute, part something else, half-trolls emerged from the dark, twisted underbelly of some sort of interspecies madness, probably at a time when the gods weren't paying attention. While it's more likely that the individual half-troll is actually just the ungodly product of a troll female having kidnapped a human male, supposedly humans and trolls occasionally get married, and have legitimate kiddos, blessed by a high priestess of Tazingo and everything.

		+	Athra, a blind ascetic and pilgrim, and devotee to the deity Serapax, achieved divine sight while resting under a tree. The ruling lord of the realm (unknown) became jealous of the cult of Athra, and had Athra killed by beheading, and threw his body to the crocodiles which mercilessly tore his body to pieces. Miraculously, his scattered remains reassembled themselves and crawled up a hillside (with a spectacular view), where the Athran monastery now stands. Athra's martyrdom led, of course, to his sainthood, and there are many disciples of St Athra today. Many clerics and priests are devout servants of Serapax and aspire to follow in the righteous footsteps of St Athra.
